Melissa Geurts is a New York–based, Canadian-born electronic musician and Creative Director. Her songs blend human vulnerability with AI-assisted creation — experimental glitch-pop that feels both intimate and futuristic.
With over 135,000 streams in the past year, Melissa’s music has reached listeners in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Senegal, and beyond. Her 2024 album system crash charted on Apple Music’s Electronic charts in the Netherlands and Senegal, while softer plz reached #33 in Senegal. Featured in Plastic Magazine, Rock the Pigeon, Soundville, and ExtraVAfrench, tracks like under-feel, miss my worst, and softer plz have become glitch-pop touchstones — exploring vulnerability, overload, and resilience in the digital age.
The Process
As an AI-experimental artist, Melissa openly integrates machine learning, voice synthesis, and algorithmic processes into her creative practice — chopping, layering, and reimagining sounds through both digital and analog means. Working in Logic Pro, she blends original vocals, self-written material, trained voice models, and AI-generated textures into something entirely new.
